Godfri Dev, author of Dynamic Yoga and many other books, cds and dvds, has a rare and potent understanding of being human. An understanding based on deep experience of body, mind and consciousness that has been facilitated within the full spectrum of classical yoga practice: asana, pranayama and meditation. His voice is a voice that breaks all the rules. A voice that plays freely with the possibilities of being human: while grounding the highest nondual teachings of advaita, yoga, tantra and zen in the challenging particularities of daily life.

When meditation is undertaken as enquiry it becomes not only deeply nourishing, but also a profound, potent and liberating experience. When silence is discovered to be a natural beat in the rhtymic nature of mind it need no longer be sought, but can become our closest friend without having to make an enemy of our mind. 15 minutes.

When yoga is based on applying the bandhas in the whole body it becomes a subtle teacher of the nonduality between matter and spirit, mind and body, doing and nondoing. This talk presents bandhas from the perspective of doing them during yoga posture practice. It strips them of any mystification and yet reveals their ability to invite the deepest freedom possible to human beings. They do this by clarifying the true nature of action. This somatic process leads to the deep freedom that comes from realisation that you are not the doer and leads to the deepest possible surrender that has been expressed historically as thy will be done. 16 minutes.
